Sam Folsom founded his own public relations firm after a successful career as an international winery communications executive, and he has built the company into one of the leading agencies in its field. Sam is a veteran communications strategist with more than 20 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications. He has advised companies ranging from major international corporations to up-and-coming e-commerce ventures, and he has a track record of success in developing effective public relations programs. Sam is an expert on media relations, and his keen understanding of the news media has proven invaluable in creating campaigns for clients and in developing a broad network of contacts in the print, broadcast and online media. He has extensive experience in corporate and product message development, event production and crisis communications. Sam is also an authority on wine and the wine industry. Earlier in his career, Sam headed public relations and communications for Buena Vista/Racke USA, a German-owned wine company in Sonoma County, and he was previously media relations manager and industry spokesman for the Wine Institute in San Francisco. He began his career with Beringer Vineyards in the Napa Valley. Sam is a graduate of Vassar College.
